Eight people have been arrested on corruption charges at municipal licensing and testing centers in North West and Northern Cape.
The six men and two women, aged 35 to 49, were apprehended in Vryburg, Ganyesa, and Letlhabile in the North West, as well as Kuruman in the Northern Cape, during an operation on Wednesday.
“The suspects allegedly engaged in a number of illegal driver’s and learner’s license transactions in exchange for money,” said police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone.
On Thursday, all eight are scheduled to appear in the Vryburg Magistrate’s Court.
